Tiger JK, Yoon Mi Rae, Buga Kingz, and more to perform at the ‘Summer Wave Festival’!

The best hip-hop artists of Korea, such as Tiger JK, Yoon Mi Rae, and group Buga Kingz (led by Bobby Kim), will soon be gathering for the ’2012 Caribbean Bay Summer Wave Festival’!

According to event organizers PMC Networks and VU Entertainment, the festival will take place at the Caribbean Bay outdoor waterpark from July 14th to 15th.

The ‘Summer Wave Festival’ will feature a string of great performances. While Tiger JK and Yoon Mi Rae are currently receiving much attention for featuring in Far*East Movement‘s remixed song ‘Live My Life’, Buga Kingz will prepare fun performances that will expose their musical capabilities.

Furthermore, the second annual ‘Summer Wave Festival’ will also include performances by international artists such as Ludacris, Taio Cruz, and Japanese hip-hop duo m-flo.

Tiger JK expresses his desire to work with Wonder Girls’ Yubin + selects Big Bang’s Taeyang for his wife

Hip-hop legend Tiger JK selected Wonder Girls‘ Yubin as the musician he’d like to work with.

During the June 18th broadcast of Mnet‘s ‘vol. TEN‘, Tiger JK selected Wonder Girls’ sexy rapper, Yubin, and explained, “If I work with Yubin, I believe we could make a ground-breaking and sensational work together.”

In addition, he recommended Big Bang‘s Taeyang as a suitable collaboration partner for his wife, Tasha (Yoon Mi Rae).

To this, MC Yoo Young Suk commented, “I think Tiger JK would be a good matchmaker. I also believe Tasha and Taeyang would make a great collaboration.”

Meanwhile, this week’s episode of ‘vol. TEN‘ is a part two continuation of last week’s special hip hop edition.

Far East Movement Thanks Tasha and Tiger JK for Featuring in New Album

World-class hip-hop group Far East Movement’s fourth studio album, “Dirty Bass” was released on June 12. In the group’s latest album was a remix version of “Live My Life” which featured the Korean rappers and married couple Tiger JK and Yoon Mi Rae.

The reaction of overseas fans to the song was even more amazing. Fans comments poured in praise for the song on iTunes saying, “Yoon Mi Rae’s rap was really amazing,” “Cool,” and “This version is the best!”

Far East Movement took to their official Twitter to show their gratitude for the couple on their participation in the remix, “Huge thank you to Yoon Mi Rae ‘n Tiger JK on the ‘Live My Life’ reeemix!”

Tiger JK and Yoon Mi Rae’s relationship with Far East Movement is expected to continue. A Jungle Entertainment official had this to say, “Another song featuring or a joint performance in the future is very likely.”

Lately, the trend for many Korean artists and groups is to collaborate with the most popular musicians around the globe, especially with other artist in the United States. They see it as a way to gain exposure and increase awareness of Korean performers and music on an international level. It also is beneficial to the world artists as they too are able to gain a larger audience and broaden their musical influences from the collaboration.

In September of last year, Yoon Mi Rae had the honor of being chosen as one of “The 12 Best New Female Emcees Dominating Mics Everywhere” by MTV Iggy in the US. Not long ago, Tiger JK and Yoon Mi Rae attended the “K-Pop Night Out” showcase in Singapore where they were praised as being the Korean Jay-Z and Beyoncé.

Yoon Mi Rae doesn’t mind husband Tiger JK’s large female fan base

Hip-hop legends such as Tiger JK, Yoon Mi Rae, Bizzy, Dynamic Duo and more featured as guest stars on the special hip hop edition of Mnet‘s ‘vol. TEN‘.

It was here that the emcees pointed out that hip-hop king Tiger JK had an unusually large fan base made up of females, and his wife Yoon Mi Rae remarked, “I like that he has a lot of female fans.”

However she added there was one occasion when she was less than pleased. “We once had a joint concert in Hongdae. I knew that he had many female fans, but I got mad when I saw a sign that read, ‘Oppa you’re hot. Call me.’”

Tiger JK then adorably displayed his need for more attention from his wife stating, “I got frustrated at Yoon Mi Rae’s response. My fans always do that, but it was like she never paid any attention before.”
