Singer-rapper Yoon Mi Rae (Tasha) celebrated her 31st birthday!

Fans flooded her Twitter with birthday wishes, and in response, Yoon Mi Rae tweeted, “Wow!!! Overwhelmed with gratitude!! Thank you all so much for the birthday wishes! I don’t know how to express this in words.. I’m so touched!! Thank you so much ❤❤ much love!!”

However, it seems as though her husband, Tiger JK, forgot about the special day as he responded, “Happy birthday mommy, forgot all about it. Ma bad. I forgot it’s your birthday, sorry! I’ll upload a pretty, photoshopped photo. Happy birthday, Yoon Future!” and attached the photo above.

Oprah replies to Tiger JK on Twitter

As a popular talk show host, entrepreneur, producer, and philanthropist, Oprah Winfrey is not only one of the richest, but also one of the most powerful celebrities in the world. She takes on all her tasks with a positive mentality, and has drawn a huge fan base from housewives to A-list celebrities.

Recently, Tiger JK professed that he became a fan of Oprah Winfrey’s. On February 19th, he tweeted Oprah with the message, “When can I meet you? My wifey, Yoon Mi Rae, had me watch all your shows — it made a grown man cry. God bless.”

Oprah thanked Tiger JK for the support and replied,“Nice wifey”.

Ecstatic that he got a response, Tiger JK tweeted, “OMG ! My wifey going to love me forever ! Thank you Oprah! I love you *in tears*”

He continued, “I just got re-tweeted by the one and only @Oprah ! Just woke up Tasha and showed her tweet she loving me lol“

Yoon Mi Rae points out that Jay Park and Tiger JK look alike

Korea’s hip hop queen Yoon Mi Rae sparked a hot topic online after she pointed out that her husband and Jay Park looked alike.

On February 3rd, Yoon Mi Rae tweeted, “Even when I look at them, they’re similar,” before posting side-by-side screenshots of Tiger JK and Jay Park.

Scanning the photos from left to right, netizens immediately agreed with Yoon Mi Rae’s observation. Both Jay Park and Tiger JK possess a charming mix of boyish charm with a masculine physique. They also have similar jawlines and noses.

Tiger JK & Tasha Invited to Quincy Jones’ Home

Korea’s top hip-hop couple Tiger JK and Tasha got a special house invitation from Quincy Jones, the world-famous musician and producer. 

On December 11th, Jungle Entertainment(Tiger JK and Tasha’s agency) announced on its official Twitter page, “After receiving a personal invite from Quincy Jones himself, Tiger JK and Tasha got to visit Quincy Jone’s house! Please look forward to where the couple will go next.” With this message, a playful picture (above) of Tiger JK and Quincy Jones was posted as well. 

Quincy Jones is a living legend in the American music industry. Recognized as the producer of late Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller,‘ Quincy Jones received a record of 79 Grammy Award nominations and 27 Grammys during his five-decade career in the entertainment industry. Now that the Tiger JK-Tasha couple has had the opportunity to build a personal relationship with this legendary producer, everyone is anticipating the couple’s upcoming international activities.

Yoon Mi Rae gets hospitalized for exhaustion

It’s just been revealed that Yoon Mi Rae was taken to the hospital for exhaustion. 

On September 22nd, a representative for Yoon Mi Rae explained, “Recently, the singer contracted a harsh flu and fever, which forced her to be hospitalized for 4 days. The reason behind her illness is probably due to her busy schedule, as she’s been busy preparing for her new album. She’s also been participating on many TV programs, as well as performing on stage. If everything goes well, she will return home tonight.” 

Yoon Mi Rae certainly has outdone herself in getting the public to become more familiar with her name. The singer has been judging auditions on ‘Superstar K3‘, in addition to working with ‘The Creator’s Project‘, and is also throwing her efforts behind the ‘Bunker Party Event‘. On top of it all, Yoon Mi Rae is preparing for her solo comeback next month.

Tasha tweets about the blackface incident

On August 27th, MBC’s special Chuseok program ‘Idol Star Athletics Championships‘ took place at Jamshil Stadium for the third time. Super Junior's Lee Teuk, Shin Dong, Eun Hyuk and entertainer Boom, who was recently discharged from the army, started the parade.

International fans addressed their concern when this picture was released as Boom is in blackface. A fan tweeted Tasha and asked her opinion regarding this. Tasha was born to a South Korean mother and an African American father.

Tasha responded as below:

"Thank you for your support! I am deeply pained and embarrassed to hear that this is still happening...I have spoken out in the past...

...About how I feel and how offensive it is. Unfortunately the war against ignorance seems to be an uphill battle...but not impossible!

Education is key!! Much love! God bless you and yours! And always ALWAYS hold your head high! You are...WE are ALL beautiful!!!

I do not think that their intentions were to make fun or offend anyone... It would be unfair for such a beautiful country as Korea to be judged as a whole based on these incidents!

This is not a "one race" one country" problem people!! It involves every human being! The sooner we recognize this the sooner we can work together to fix it!"

This is the second mishap regarding a lack of awareness by Korean TV stations that happened this month. A few weeks ago, the production team of SBS’s Star King caused controversy over misrepresenting Muslims. Another incident was when BEAST's Ki Kwang was in blackface for a variety show last year.

Currently, Tasha is one of the panel judges for the reality show Mnet Superstar K3.

Yoon Mi Rae revealed a playful selca of herself with her favorite star.

On August 9th, Yoon Mi Rae tweeted,

“Today I met my favorite star.. haha. I asked to take a picture with him but he got cut out. Guess who it is? I’m so bad at taking pictures.“

In the picture, Yoon Mi Rae is smiling brightly with a V-pose. The person standing next to her is hard to identify because you can only see a small portion of his face.

Yoon Mi Rae was selected as the female judge on Mnet’s ‘Superstar K3‘, following in the footsteps of Season 1’s Lee Hyori and Season 2’s Uhm Jung Hwa. The first broadcast of Season 3 will air on August 12th.

What the tweet? Korea's Queen of Soul is not afraid of talking to her fellow musicians in the western world. One of America's top music men, John Legend, recieved a personal tweet from the queen herself!

On August 4th, Tiger JK's wife kindly asked Legend if his tour schedule included her current homeland of South Korea. Read her inquisitive tweet and introduction below:

Yoon Mi Rae reveals her superhero family

The fierce but married Yoon Mi Rae (Tasha) gave fans delight by revealing an adorable photo of her family.

The photo was uploaded on her personal twitter today, along with a message that stated, “My Super Heroes!!” It features her husband Tiger JK and son, the lovely Jordan (who has definitely gotten bigger) sharing some father-son time, with the two sporting adorable Iron-Man and Spider-Man masks.

Netizens were left in jealousy by seeing such a warm family and left comments such as, “It’s a really cheerful family.”, “What cute superheroes!”, “Just looking at it makes me happy.”, and ,“It’s good to see such peacefulness.”
