IU appeared as a special guest at Yoon Mi Rae’s concert!
On July 14, Yoon Mi Rae held the first night of her solo concert at the Jangchung Arena in Seoul.
Donning a white dress, IU appeared as the next guest after rapper Dok2. The concertgoers sang along with her as she sang “Friday” on stage.
After her performance, IU introduced herself as an “unexpected guest who appeared at Yoon Mi Rae’s concert.”
She continued, “There was a time when Yoon Mi Rae appeared as a guest when I was a rookie. I came because I’m a fan as well. It’s awkward coming to a hip hop concert. I have some performance skills myself, but Dok2 livened up the atmosphere, so I’m startled.”
She added, “But you all greeted me by singing along, so I sincerely thank you. If I had a rap song, I would’ve sung that.”
Yoon Mi Rae is holding a solo concert for the first time in 12 years on July 14 and 15. The singer plans to have guests such as IU, Dok2, and Han Dong Geun at her shows where she’ll create special stages spanning a vast genre of music including hip hop, R&B, ballad, and OST.
Yoon Mi Rae also released her fifth album “Gemini 2” and title track “You & Me” featuring Junoflo on July 5.
